    • Diane R. Bartosiewicz Obituary
Diane R. McKenzie Bartosiewicz, age 66, resident of Pulaski passed away, Thursday with most of her loving family by her side. Diane was born February 26, 1959, in Fulton, the daughter of Robert and Ethel Sperbeck Leonard. She attended Fulton and Mexico schools and went on to obtain her cosmetology license. She co-owned a beauty salon in Mexico before moving to Pulaski and Sandy Pond and barbering for friends and neighbors at her home. She was happily married to Don McKenzie until his passing in December 2007. She subsequently married Jim Bartosiewicz and had many happy years with him on Sandy Pond until his passing in July 2020.

Diane loved to cook, and her peppers in oil and garlic were famous. She grew her own herbs and vegetables. Her artistry extended to her home, where she meticulously painted beautiful designs on floors, walls and furniture. Diane’s wonderful sense of humor attracted many friends, and she was always ready to laugh at whatever life threw at her.

Surviving, are her brothers and sisters, Randi Leonard of Las Vegas, Dan Leonard (Janice Mayne) of Phoenix, Sandy Shaw of Pulaski, Paula (Robert) Thomas of Pulaski, Cara (John) Daniels of Pulaski, and half-sister, Kathleen (David) Wiechelman of Nathrop, Colorado, nieces and nephews, Ashley, Christopher, Sara, Anne, Percy, Patrick, Robert, and Trista, and several great-nieces and nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind her beloved rescue kitties, Pip, Mariah and Mena.

The family would like to thank the staff at Oswego Hospital for their continued care and Upstate Medical University for their compassion and dedication to her comfort in her final hours.

A celebration of life will be held at a time to be announced. Arrangements are in care of Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
