      dies

      Frank E. Colvin, 68 of 306 Catherine St., Syracuse died on Friday, May 14, at State University Hospital, Syracuse.

      He was born on November 7, 1907 in the Town of Orwell, the son of Henry and Mary Coon Colvin. He farmed in Orwell on the Colvin homestead until he moved to Syracuse in 1955. In Syracuse, Mr. Colvin was employed by a foundry company and as a maintenance man at St. Joseph's Hospital.

      Surviving are his wife, Dora Champion Colvin; one step-daughter, Ms. Virginia Switts of Chittenango; two brothers, Lee F. Colvin of Florida and Raymond B. Colvin of Syracuse; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Cronk of Altmar; an uncle, L. B. Colvin of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

      Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 16 at 1 p.m. at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski with the Rev. Allan Dickinson of the Riverside United Methodist Church officiating.

      Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar.
