    • Newspaper Obituary - 1985 - Richard Ives - Mr. Richard L. Ives, 52, of RD 3, Fulton, died Sunday, Jan. 27 in Lee Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born in the town of Volney, he was a life resident of the Fulton area. He was an operating engineer at Niagra Mohawk Power Corp's Nine Mile 2 plant in Scriba. He was a member of Local 545 Operating Engineers. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict, and a member of VFW Post 5540, Phoenix. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Untied Methodist Church of Volney. Surviving are his wife, Doris Kinsman Ives, of Fulton; two daughter, Darlene, of Fulton, and Denise of North Syracuse; his mother, Miriam Ives, of Fulton; and several aunts and uncles. Services were held at the Foster Funeral Home, the Rev. Donald Turk officiating. Contributions can be made to the Cody Volunteer Fire Department's ambulance fund or to the Veterans Administration Hospital, Syracuse.
