    • Newspaper Obituary - April 7, 1870 Pulaski Democrat - Died - In Sandy Creek, March 11th, of consumption, Orrin Stewart, aged 35 years. The angel of death has again invaded this family circle for the second time in two years, and has taken away in the prime of his life, yet the fairest flowers bloom and die. But while we regret the loss of one so dear to us, we cannot mourn, for we know that he is happy and has been admitted into the shining courts of Heaven. His fond brothers and sisters have lost a kin and affectionate brother, but he has gone to mingle with those pure spirits above, to join the happy throng that rings the Redeemer's praise forever. When dying he called his friends to his bedside, and bade them all adieu. His request was for them all to meet him in heaven. He lingered for months with disease. The last few weeks of his sickness, his sufferings were indeed great, and he longed to be at rest in his Survivors arms, on the banks beyond the stream, where flowers of fadeless beauty ever bloom. No fear of death invades his mind.
