- Newspaper Obituary - August 12, 2000 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - V. BRUCE BAILEY TRUCK DRIVER - The funeral for Vincent Bruce Bailey, 36, of 17069 County Route 90, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Carpenter- Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville, with the Revs. Melody and Raymond Rudd officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Mr. Bailey drowned Wednesday afternoon in Lake Ontario, off Eldorado Beach in the town of Ellisburg. Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Bailey was a landscaper with Dan Sanderson Landscaping, Dade City, Fla., and then was a truck driver for Laser Transit and also Gilbert Express, Watertown. Born Oct. 25, 1963, at Fort Ord, near Monterey, Calif., son of Leonard and Betty Fryer Bailey, he attended school in Indianapolis, Ind., where he lived with his aunt and uncle after his parents' death. He married Linda M. Billings on May 16, 1987, in Zephyrhills, Fla. The couple moved to their present home in 1992. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Brian D., Florida, and Edward A., Mannsville; a stepson, Loid P. Ellis, Zephyrhills; a daughter, Rebecca A., Mannsville; a brother, Michael, Salt Lake City, Utah; a sister, Mary Susan Doretta, Indianapolis; a grandson and several nieces and nephews.
