Dorothy H. Hartman nee Schmidt, age 100, a 52 year resident of Oak Park passed away on August 31, 2015 in her home. She was the beloved wife of 40 years to the late John L. Hartman. She was the loving mother of Jeanne Hartman of Oak Park and John (Laurie) Hartman of Algonquin. She was the cherished grandmother of John Christopher Hartman. Dorothy was preceded in death by her dear siblings; Helen (the late Dean) Loftus, Genevieve (the late Marshall) Winter, Irvin (the late Libby) and Robert Schmidt. Dorothy was born in Madison, Wisconsin to the late Otto and Anna nee Wilhelm Schmidt. Dorothy was a longtime member and volunteer of Ascension Church and was a member of the Ascension Choir. Visitation Thursday 3 to 8 p.m. at Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home, 203 S. Marion St., Oak Park. Prayers Friday 8:45 a.m. to Ascension Church for mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
