    • Online Obituary - Otto A. Hoenow, 90, Pulaski, died Saturday February 7, 2009 at Oswego Hospital. He had been a resident of Pulaski since 1940, previously living in Maryland. He and his wife operated Ingleside Poultry Farm for 30 years and had also served an apprenticeship at Douglaston Manor Farms. Born Nov. 11, 1918, in Rheinsabern, Germany, son of Alfred and Emma Thomas Hoenow, he graduated from high school in Brooklyn and attended Farmingdale College on Long Island. He married Frances Mattison on Dec. 26, 1942. She died Jan. 9. He was a member of Park United Methodist Church and Pulaski Grange 730. He and his wife established the Frances Mattison Hoenow and Otto Hoenow scholarships for Oswego County students. Surviving are a daughter, Joan A. Hoenow, San Jose, Calif.; a son, Thomas, Pulaski; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two sons died before him - Stephen P. in 1983 and Donald O. in 1986. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
