- Newspaper Obituary - December 23, 1914 Pulaski Democrat - Orwell - Miss Helen Wagoner died in Sandy Creek Thursday morning, December 17, aged 62 years. Her entire life has been spent in Orwell, her native town, except the last four years which she has passed in Sandy Creek, as housekeeper for Dr. W. H. Cox. Her presence in the home she has helped to make so pleasant, will be sadly missed by the aged veteran. Prayer was said in Dr. Cox's home, Sunday by Rev. W. H. Pullen, pastor of the M. E. Church and the remains brought to Orwell church, where services were conducted by Rev. Spencer Bacon Owens and burial made in Evergreen cemetery. For many years she was a faithful member of the M. E. Church. In life she was a great lover of flowers and in death, her casket was covered with many beautiful floral pieces. Her friends are very grateful to those who gave the flowers, to those who sang, to Rev. Owens for his excellent words and to all who assisted in any way at the funeral.
