Charles M. Gadwav Sr. 74, of Morrisonville." died Saturday. Nov. 22, 1980 at Champlain Valley Physic¬ians Medical Center. Plaits-burl, after a brief illness.
Born July 4. 1906 in Plattsburg to Loren and Julia Depo Gadway. he attended school in Schuyler Falls. He and his late wife, the former Anna R. McKinstry, were married Dec. 14. 1946. in Syracuse. where they resider, until 1970.
He was an Army veteran of World War IL having served with the Corps of Engineers in the Sicilian. Italian. French, Moroccan. Algerian and Tunisian campaigns.
He retired in 1968 as a bus driver for the Syra-cuse Transit Co.
Surviving are a son, Charles Jr.. of Richland: two daughters. Mrs. Cleo Bacon of Florida and Mrs. James Snow of Clay: a foster daughter, Dorothy of Morrisonville: five step-daughters and two stepsons: three brothers. Halsey of Peru. and Arthur and Clifford. both of Arizona: eight grandchildren; a great-grandMild: and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Services were held Nov. 25, 1980 in Taylor-Vida Funeral Home. the Rev. Dolen Morris officiating. Burial, with full military honors, was in Pulaski Cemetery.
