- Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday June 12, 1990 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Lemuel E. Wilder, 70, Retired Farmer Dies - Lemuel E. Wilder, 70, Route 2, retired dairy farmer, died at 3:45 p.m. Monday at University Hospital, Syracuse, after a long illness. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Summerville Funeral Home, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry, pastor of Pulaski Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Northern Oswego Ambulance, Box 113, Pulaski, N.Y. 13145. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Diane) LaBenski, West Willington, Conn., and Mrs. John (Judy) Tighe and Mrs. Rusty (Wendy) Fox, both of Pulaski; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Robert and C.D. Wilder, both of Pulaski; a sister Bea Thomas, Pulaski, and several nephews and nieces. Three sisters, Florence Montondo, Helen Grinnell and Geraldine Wilder, and two brothers, Thomas M. and John, died before him. Born in Pulaski on January 6, 1920, a son of Thomas and Bertha Coon Wilder, he was a graduate of Pulaski High School. He married Jeanette M. Fuller on February 6, 1943, in Pulaski. She died January 25, 1978. Mr. Wilder owned and operated a dairy farm on Route 11 North until his retirement in 1985.
