Bethyl W. Killam, 66, of 9075 Salina St., Lacona, died Saturday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born Dec. 28, 1922, she was the daughter of the late George and Lottie Borden-White. Mrs. Killam graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1939. She married Edward T. Killam on Jan. 10, 1942.
A life resident of Lacona, Mrs. Killam was tax collector for the Town of Sandy Creek. She was formerly employed by the Red and White Store.
Surviving are her husband, Edward; two daughters, Judy Cummings of Sandy Creek and Wendy Goodberry of Redfield; two sons, Bruce of Sandy Creek and Timothy of Lacona; three sisters, Belva Pierce of Lacona, Shirley Lamb of Liverpool and Doris White of Pulaski; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Summerville Funeral Home in Sandy Creek, the Rev. Janet Gibbs officiating. Burial will be in the Wesleyn Cemetery in Lacona.
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 8192 Harwood Drive, Sandy Creek.
