Former Syracuse resident Emanuel A. McHugh, 36, died March 25 in Eagle River, Alaska.
Mr. McHugh was a native of Syracuse. He was a 1968 graduate of North Syracuse High School and a 1972 graduae of the Syracuse University College of Engineering. Mr. McHugh was an environmental engineer with Standard Oil of Ohio in San Francisco, Calif., and transferred to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, where he also was employed with VECO.
A life member of the National Rifle Association, Mr. McHugh was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Colleen; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel J. McHugh of North Syracuse; a sister, Eugenie M. Fournier of Syracuse; and his paternal grandmother, Celia McHugh of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
Memorial services will be at a later date.
