- Genave (Lassley) Waring passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017, soon after her ninety second birthday. Born in Shady Grove, MO, she was a Fresno resident all but the first three years of her life.
A graduate of Roosevelt High School, Genave worked at Hammer Field Air Force Base, while her husband, Richard, served in United States Army overseas. Separated during wartime for three years, Genave and Richard reunited in 1945, and celebrated their seventieth anniversary together.
Genave was preceded in death by parents, Bill and Velma Lassley; brother, Gerald Lassley; and husband, Richard Waring.
Genave is survived by her sons, David Waring and wife Linda, and Dennis Waring and wife Virginia; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Funeral Chapel on Sunday, March 5, 2017, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 6, 2017, at 10:00 a.m.
