Helga Wedemeyer , 83, formerly of Tully, NY, died December 21, 2014 as a result of Alzheimers. She was predeceased by her parents, Margaret and Edward Wedemeyer and her sister, Barbara Campbell.
She is survived by her sister, Edith Cook of LaFayette, NY; her brother, Ralph Wedemeyer of Long Island; nine nieces and nephews, and 16 great-nieces and great-nephews. Her beloved dogs now reside with her niece ,Corinne.
Helga graduated from Pulaski Academy & Central School and Bellevue Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from Onondaga County Department of Health after many years. She took great pride in her work as a nurse and was an inspiration to others.
Services will be planned by family for a later date for the interment of her ashes. Memorial gifts can be made to the Humane Society and the ASPCA.
