- Newspaper Obituary - June 11, 1973 Syracuse Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Mrs. Pelazie Scheemaker - Central Square - Mrs. Pelazie Scheemaker, 95, of N. Main Street died yesterday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. A native of Belgium, Mrs. Scheemaker lived 56 years in Central Square. She was a member of St. Michael's Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. Surviving are four sons, Arthur and Emiel, both of Central Square, Raymond of Macedon, and Harris of Brewerton; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Rotey of Macedon; a brother, Maurice Dewispelaere of Syracuse; a sister, Mrs. Leonie Gabriel of Alberta, Canada; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at Traub Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Church. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
