- Obituary of Salvatore Filicia
Salvatore Filicia, age 70, resident of Hastings passed away Saturday at his home. Salvatore was born May 24, 1943 in Syracuse, the son of Joseph and Edith Hoyt Filica. He resided in Hastings since 1995, and previously lived in Altmar. He served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1969. Salvatore married Arlene Woods on March 31, 1995. He was an ordained minister, doing missionary work for several years. He was also employed as a welder for many years. Salvatore was a member of Kingdom Outpost Church in Clay and the Pulaski American Legion Robert Edwards Post #358.
Surviving, are his wife, Arlene, one daughter, Edith, two stepsons, Willis and Wayne Davis, two stepdaughters, Susan Hallock and Diane Finster, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Calling Hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home 52 Park Street, Pulaski with a spring graveside service in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown.
