- September 2, 2003 Sharlene S. Kline, 68, of Delano Street, Pulaski, died Tuesday at University Hospital. She was born on May 5, 1935, in Eaton, NY, the daughter of Maurice and Vivian Coger Sawyer. She has resided in Pulaski since 1966, previously lived in Eaton, NY. She graduated from Morrisville-Eaton High School in 1953 and graduated from Ithaca College in 1957. She also received her Masters Degree from Oswego State Teacher's College. She married George Kline on October 3, 1957; he died January 30, 1988. She was employed by Sandy Creek Central School as a Music Teacher from 1966 to 1997 when she retired. She also taught at Morrisville-Eaton for several years. She was a member of NYS Teachers Assoc., Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski, Syracuse Obedience Training Club, the Over Rover Dog Agility Club, American Kennel Club and Canadian Kennel Club, the Jefferson Community College North Country Orchestra. Survived by: one son, Jeffrey E. Kline, Norfolk, VA; three daughters and their husbands, Vicki Lee K. and David C. Darrow of Cortland, Stefanie K. and Lance A. Joss of Woodville, Pamela K. and Harold A. Bell of Charleston, SC; mother Vivian Sawyer, one brother M. Paul Sawyer and one sister Maureen Cox, all of Eaton; six grandchildren, Zachary, Marlyss, Ryan, Devon, Matthew and Kassie; several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held on Monday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Northern Oswego County Ambulance, Delano Street, Pulaski, NY 13142.
