    • Newspaper Obituary - January 13, 2006 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - WILMINA 'BILLIE' WHITE - LONGTIME ORWELL RESIDENT - Wilmina "Billie" White, 91, formerly of Orwell, died Sunday at St. Claire Nursing Home, Lakewood, Wash. She had been a Washington state resident since 1999. Born Sept. 14, 1914, in the town of Albion, daughter of William and Rose Trumble Britton, she had lived in Orwell most of her life. She married Harold J. White on April 23, 1960. He died March 15, 1997. She had been married previously. She was a member of Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358 Auxiliary, a member and former president of Oswego County Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, a charter member of Pulaski Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7289 Auxiliary and a member of Orwell Union Church. Surviving are two sons, Carl and David Ehresman, both of Washington state; two daughters, Thelma Snyder, Fulton, and Joan Gumm, Washington; two brothers, Fay Britton, Chittenango, and Robert Britton, Florida; three sisters, Viola Mowers, Orwell, and Elsie Wheeler and Rose Peck, both of Altmar; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Orwell Methodist Church or Orwell Fire Department.
