Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, May 31, 1966 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Arby L. Hort, 84, husband of the late Grace Adams Hort, died at his residence, 213 East Ninth Street, on Monday evening. Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Henry and Mary Gray Hort. Mr. Hort had operated a news and tobacco store at the west end of the Utica Street Bridge for 52 years. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Evangelists and Lake City Lodge 127, F.&AM. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Farl (Lucille) Neild and Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Strong, both of Oswego; one son, Lt. John R. Hort, U.S. Navy stationed at Bath, Maine; two brothers, Francis Hort of San Francisco, California and Henry Hort of East Meadows, Long Island. The burial office and Holy Communion will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:30 am. in the Episcopal Church of the Evangelists by the Rev. Edwin G. Molnar, rector. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Pulaski. Masonic services will be conducted Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Evangelists or to the Cancer Foundation.
