    • Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, May 2, 1867 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Killed - On Wednesday of last week, Mr. Barney Quackenbush, aged about 80, living on the premises of Edwin Gray, near Dugway, in the town of Albion, was found in the barn, with his skull crushed in. It appears that the old gentleman had gotten upon a scaffolding over the floor, in search of eggs, that one of the boards or scantling of the scaffold broke and precipitated him to the floor, probably causing instant death. Dr. Watson held inquest the next day, and a verdict was returned in accordance with the above facts.
