Yerdon, 43, died November 29, 1964 in St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse after a long illness. Mr. Yerdon had been a carpenter for G. and W. Builders in DeWitt. Born in Redfield, he was a son of Norman and Edith Giddings Yerdon. He was a member of the IOOF in Orwell. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Genevieve Aloan Yerdon; a son, William, at home; his mother; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Pryor, Waddington; Mrs. John Helbock, Lacona; Mrs. Orlo Porter, Central Square, and Mrs. George VanEpps, Levittown, Long Island; three brothers, Elwin, North Syracuse; George, Redfield, and Paul, Central Square, and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Union Church, Orwell, the Rev. Nelson Reppert officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
