- Born in Llanfyllin, Montgomeryshire, Wales, Christmas was the son of John & Jane Ellis Evans. They emmigrated to America, departing from Liverpool, Eng, on Jan. 30 and arrived at Ellis Island, New York on Feb. 8, 1907. He came with his parents, and siblings David, John, Edward, Mary and Maldwyn. From Ellis Island they went to Ohio, residing there a few years before moving to Steuben, Oneida Co. NY.
Christmas worked as a milk inspector for the Dairymen's League for years. He married Emily Broadbent. They had three children, Robert Christmas, Bruce & Kathleen Evans. He was the highway superintendent and had been Justice of the Peace as well for Williamstown, Oswego Co. NY, where he was a long time resident with his wife and family.
Cause of death: aortic rupture & heart attack
