    • Drowned while Grandpa Hass was looking on. They were on a painting job going to paint a bridge and he fell out of the boat. Grandpa Hass couldn't swim so couldn't save him. Another man jumped in to save him but couldn't and nearly froze.(Marti Bowling) Inscription on his tombstone read "A loved husband and father".
