      Newspaper Obituary - Sunday, February 11, 1990 Syracuse Herald American - Syracuse, New York - Durl P. Clement, 84, of 8196 Harwood Drive died Saturday in his home after a long illness. He was born in Orwell and lived in Mineola and Taberg for several years. He moved to Sandy Creek in 1938. He was manager of Victory Market and later owned and operated Clement's Market. In 1959, he joined the sales staff at Pulaski Sales and Service, a car dealership, and worked there until his retirement in 1980. He was a member and past master of Sandy Creek Lodge 564 F&AM. He was a member and patron of Lake Ontario 124 Order of the Eastern Star, serving as district grand lecturer in 1957. He was a 50-year member of the Sandy Creek Grange 127 and a member of the Sandy Creek Volunteer Fire Department. He was an honorary member of the Lacona Fire Department and a 50-year member of the United Methodist Church, Sandy Creek. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are his wife, Olive Wilson Clement, of 59 years; a daughter, Beverly Jones of New Hartford; and five grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Sandy Creek United Methodist Church. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Sandy Creek United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by the Summerville Funeral Home.
