Jo-Ann was born and raised in Syracuse, New York; she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Grace Palmisano. Jo-Ann was a graduate of North High School. She was predeceased by her son, John F. Sgroi. Jo-Ann is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Joseph Sgroi Sr; her son, Joseph Sgroi Jr. of Largo, FL; daughters, Kimmie Sgroi of Largo, FL, Terry Sgroi (Kim) of Syracuse, NY, Rachel Forgensi (David) of Syracuse, Shelly Huff (Bruce) of Ben Wheeler, TX and Robin Cooley of Texas; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank Palmisano (Joanne); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday with a funeral service by Rev. John Ahern immediately following. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family, c/o Terry Sgroi, 218 Arch Street, Syracuse, NY 13206.
