    • Josheba “Josie” Fisher Carpenter - April 5, 1855 - February 2, 1927. Daughter of James E. and Cordelia Chapman Fisher. Wife of Emory Carpenter.
      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, February 10, 1927 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Mrs. Emery Carpenter - Mrs. Emery Carpenter, 71 years old, died February 2nd, at nine o'clock at her home on the Rome Street Road three miles from Pulaski. Mrs. Carpenter was born in Boylston, April 5, 1855. She had been an invalid for 12 years, but death was due to a heart attack. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Jerry Look, of Orwell, and Ruth of Pulaski, two sisters, the Misses Lodama and Urbany Fisher [sic] of Orwell, and two grandchildren. The funeral was held Saturday at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at home, Rev. Ray Wootton, Rector of the St. James Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial in Evergreen cemetery, Orwell, where Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter formerly resided.
