      Linwood Joseph Brisbane, 53, of 6436 Easthampton Road, Fayetteville, died Saturday in his home.

      He was a retired Army major and a sergeant specialist with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department.

      A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in JFK Special Forces Chapel in Fort Bragg by the Revs. Norman Mitchell and David Bowerman. Burial with full military honors will be in the Main Post Cemetery on Fort Bragg. Arrangements are being handled by Highland Funeral Service & Crematory.

      Mr. Brisbane is survived by his wife, Juneko Brisbane; two daughters, Christine M. Brisbane of Raleigh and Jennifer M. Brisbane of Chapel Hill; his mother, Joe Brisbane of Savannah, Ga.; and a sister, Charlotte C. Brisbane of Savannah
