The funeral for Luann J. Beattie, 40, County Route 89, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Vorea Community Church, Orwell, with the Rev. Keith Miller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Adams Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.
Mrs. Beattie died at 8:52 p.m. Tuesday in the emergency room of Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, after being stricken at home with an apparent heart attack.
Mrs. Beattie was a bus driver for South Jefferson Central School, Adams, for seven years. Previously, she was a waitress at the Pine Diner and worked at Pierrepont Manor General Store.
Born July 4, 1957, in Watertown, daughter of Leslie and Phyllis Rogers Curtis, she was a 1975 graduate of Pulaski Academy and Central School.
She married Terry L. Beattie on Sept. 13, 1980, in the Mannsville Methodist Church. The couple had lived at their home on County Route 89 for 12 years.
Mrs. Beattie was an active supporter of South Jefferson Central School sports programs.
Surviving besides her husband, her father and her stepmother, Shirley Curtis, Pulaski, are two sons, Adam and Eric, both at home; a daughter, Rachel, Altmar; a brother, Michael D., Parish; five stepsisters, Melanie Frary, Central Square, Lera McGrew, Ellisburg, Marie Cross, Adams, Darlene Layo, Breeding, Conn., and JoAnn Newcomb, Pulaski; a stepbrother, George Price, Lawrenceville, Ga.; a half brother, Jason Curtis, Pulaski, and a granddaughter.
