    • Madolyn H. Hax May 9, 2011 Madolyn H. Hax, age 83, resident of Pulaski, passed away Monday at her home. Madolyn was born December 22, 1927, in Watertown, the daughter of William and Nettie Allen Hurley. Madolyn resided in Pulaski since 1960, previously living in Watertown. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1944. Madolyn married Karl W. Hax Sr. on June 25, 1950, he died May 29, 2002. She and her husband owned and operated Foster-Hax Funeral Home in Pulaski from 1960 until 1982, when they sold to their son, Karl. Madolyn continued to work at the funeral home until 2005. She was previously employed by A&P Markets in Watertown and Pulaski for several years. Madolyn was a member of the Park United Methodist Church in Pulaski, Tuesday Study Club, Pulaski Service Club, OES Chapter #159 and Monday Night Women's Bowling League. She also volunteered for many years at the Trash & Treasure shop in Pulaski. Madolyn was also in charge of the canteen at Red Cross blood drives in Pulaski, and a coordinator for UNICEF fundraisers at Halloween. Surviving: two sons, Karl Jr. and Robert both of Pulaski; one daughter, Cynthia (Terry) Allen of Pulaski; nine grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Madolyn was predeceased by five brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in Pulaski Cemetery, with Reverend James Tschudy officiating. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Friends of Oswego County Hospice Inc., P.O.
