Newspaper Obituary - Monday, October 31, 1949 Syracuse Herald Journal - Syracuse, New York - Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle H. Ripsom McFee, widow of Edward McFee, who died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Irwin, were held Saturday from the Irwin home. The service was conducted by the Rev. Barber L. Waters, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Watertown, and former pastor of the Mexico Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev. Merle O. Brown, present pastor of the local church. Mrs. McFee was born in the town of Mexico, the daughter of John Porter and Henrietta Loomis Ripsom. She was a member of the North Mexico Methodist Church and for years was active in all the church organizations. Surviving besides her daughter, Mrs. William Irwin, include three sons, Supervisor Harold E. McFee, both of Mexico, and Leon P. McFee of North Syracuse; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and three nieces. Burial was in Daysville Cemetery. Bearers were Percy E. Rose, Floyd L. Leepy, Charles Mowry, Earle E. Moore, Clarence Morton, and Almon E. DuBois.
