SANDY CREEK - The funeral for Joseph A. Dillenbeck, 10, and Riely M. Pottenburgh, 6, both of 255 Ellisburg St., will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Pulaski Wesleyan Church. The two boys died Sunday in a house fire on County Route 48 in Richland. Their mother, Robin Dillenbeck, and two half brothers, Dayton and Dontae Lance, also were killed in the fire. Calling hours will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., Pulaski.
Joseph was born May 9, 1998, in Amsterdam, and was a fifth-grade pupil at Sandy Creek Elementary School. He was a member of Sandy Creek Little League and the Teachers Association Team. He also was a member of Pulaski Pop Warner Football League and took karate lessons in Cicero.
Riely was born June 25, 2002, in Watertown, and was a first-grader at Sandy Creek Elementary. He was a member of Sandy Creek Little League T-ball, Sandy Creek Comets Soccer Club and the wrestling team. He also was a member of the Salmon River hockey program.
Surviving besides their father, Joseph A. Pottenburgh, Sandy Creek, are their paternal grandmother, Sandra Pottenburgh, Claverack; their maternal grandfather, Timothy Dillenbeck, Fort Plain; their maternal grandmother, Audrey Spink, Ocala, Fla.; a paternal great-grandmother, Ismini Frieser, North Carolina, and several aunts and uncles.
