    • Mr. Hocking of Perry was a son of Francis John & Amy Bump Hocking.
      He was a commercial artist for Champion Products for 37 years, retiring in 1972. He was a member of the Masons, and a 50 year member of the Perry Fire Dept.
      His wife Anetta Kimberly Hocking, died in 1991.
      Surviving are two sons, David (Joan) Hocking and Paul (Shirley) Hocking; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
      He was a brother of the late Katherine Campbell.

      Services for Searle W. Hocking, 91, of Perry, a retired commercial artist and master of Constellation Lodge 404, F&AM, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, 98 N. Main St. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

      Hocking, who was born in Perry, died Friday (Feb. 1, 2002) in F.F. Thompson Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua, where he had been a patient for three months.

      He was a commercial artist for Champion Products for 37 years until his retirement in 1972. He was a 50-year member of the Perry Fire Department. He belonged to Brick Presbyterian Church and the Perry Benevolent Firemen's Association.

      His wife, the former Anetta Kimberley, died in 1991.

      Survivors include two sons, David of East Eddington, Maine, and Paul of Canandaigua; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
