- Marjorie T. Day, 81, of Sandy Creek, passed away Sunday, September 8 at her home under the care of her family and Oswego County Hospice.
Born October 17, 1931 in Gouverneur, daughter of the late Orley & Rosetta Riley Brasie. She graduated from Edwards School. Married on July 9, 1949 to Ralph V. Day at First United Methodist Church in Gouverneur. The couple lived in Edwards until moving to Sandy Creek in 1962. Mr. Day a Union Electrician died June 1, 2005. Marjorie was a retired food service employee of Sandy Creek Central School District. She was a member of Cable Trail V.F.W. Aux #8534 in Lacona and an avid bingo & bunco player. She was also a member of Edwards V.F.W. Aux. #9484.
Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Debra and Mark Piper of Boyceville, Wisconsin, and Kathy & Dave Bardeschewski of Sandy Creek; a daughter-in-law Donna Day of Sandy Creek; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 2 sons, Ralph Day Jr. and Randy Lee Day, a brother Keith Brasie and a sister Evelyn Alguire.
Funeral services are at 10 AM Friday at the Summerville Fuenral Home in Sandy Creek. Burial in Hailesboro Cemetery,
