ebruary 17, 2009 Raymond J. Cashel, 76, of Pulaski, NY, died Tuesday, at Bert Fish Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Born in Syracuse, NY, Mr. Cashel was a star pitcher for the Pulaski High School baseball team and nicknamed "Lefty." He was an Air Force veteran of Korea, serving as a cryptographer, and the former owner of Comet Baseball Bat Company of Mannsville, NY, and Pineville Camp Ground, Pineville, NY. Survivors include his wife, Carole Faye; three sons, Timothy of Boylston, NY, Michael of Lorraine, NY, and Daniel of Lacona, NY; a daughter, Kelley Stratton of Oak Hill, FL; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
