- Elaine D. (Cormier) Barber, 60, passed away tragically December 8, 2012 after an automobile accident. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Charles M. Barber, her son Daniel Barber and daughter Denise Barber. She also leaves her niece Karma Saldanna, her nephew David Libby and several cousins. Her brother Paul Cormier predeceased her. Elaine was born January 4, 1952 in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of the late Louise (Mazerolle) and Lionel Cormier. Her family moved to the United States at age 7, she graduated from Framingham South High School and she has been a resident of Grafton since 1984.
Elaine worked as hairdresser from her home for many years, and also owned her own salon in Worcester. She loved her pets, the outdoors, particularly bicycling and skiing, and she had a great passion for music as she recently became a self-taught violin player and played the guitar for many years. Those who knew Elaine will also remember her interest in studying her family's history and genealogy which she also loved. Elaine also took advantage of opportunities to travel, once skiing the Swiss Alps and she also traveled across Europe including stops in London, France, and Ireland. Country music was often playing in her home, particularly her favorite artist, Willie Nelson.

CALLING HOURS & FUNERAL MASS All are invited to calling hours for Elaine Friday December 14th from 5pm to 8pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N.Grafton MA 01536. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday December 15th at 11:00am at St. Mary's Church 17 Waterville St. Grafton MA 01536. She will then be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in North Grafton.
