Newspaper Obituary - Monday, December 8, 1980 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Laura Carr, 91 - Mrs. Laura C. Carr, 91, Orwell, widow of Henry L. Carr, died at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, November 30 at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, where she had been admitted July 29. The funeral was 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with Rev. Stanley Tanner, pastor of the Orwell United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. She is survived by a son, Harvey N. Carr, Rome; three daughters, Mrs. Merrill (Vivian) Jones, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Mrs. Orin Colvin, Commerce City, Colorado, and Mrs. James (Eleanor) Lanigan, Rome; a sister in law, Mrs. Earl (Clara) Noble, Redfield; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Edward (Lola) Stinson, died in 1973. Born August 8, 1889, in Brockport, Ontario, Canada, a daughter of Stanley and Eleanor Blake Gilhoulley, she attended Brockport schools and married Henry L. Carr January 4, 1911, at Williamstown. The couple lived 17 years in Saskatchewan, before moving to Orwell. He was employed at the Lattimer Chair factory. He died December 30, 1963, at the age of 80. She was a member of the Orwell United Methodist Church and the Orwell Rebekah Lodge.
