- Jeannine M. Delaney, 89, a resident of 102 East Oneida Street in Oswego, passed away Saturday, at the Oswego Hospital. Mrs. Delaney was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Edward P. and Ethel J. (Pelow) Gillen. She was a life resident.
She was a former communicant of St. Louis" Church, and had also attended St. Louis" School. She was the wife of the late William J. Delaney, who died in 1979. She is survived by two daughters, Donna (James) Freeden of Scriba, and Dianne (Timothy) Barnes of Clay; a son, William C. (Debbie) Delaney of Pulaski; a sister, Alma McDermott of Oswego; eight grandchildren, Michael, Tonia, Matthew, Megan, TJ, Shanna, Shelby, and Samantha; six great-grandchildren, Whitney, Deondra, Kayla, Johnna, Jessica, and Tyler; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Richard Gillen and Howard Gillen; and two sisters, Gertrude "Toots" Ames, and Melrose Tonkin. Calling hours will be held Monday, January 29th, from 4:00 to 6:00, with a service to follow at 6:00, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego. Burial in St. Paul"s Cemetery at a later date.
