- FUNERAL SATURDAY FOR KATHLEEN G. HAYWOOD

The funeral for Kathleen G. Haywood, 74, of Debra Drive, Potsdam, will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Garner Funeral Home, Potsdam, with the Rev. James Hendershott officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hopkinton.
Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Haywood died Thursday at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, where she had been a patient since April 7.
Surviving are three sons, Lawrence, Lisbon, Richard Haywood, Madrid, and Gary Haywood, Potsdam; a daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Sally) Bump, Altmar; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Earl C. Haywood, died in 1981. Two brothers, Sylvester and Floyd Gorey, died before her.
Born July 4, 1918, in St. Regis Falls, she was the daughter of James and Sarah Russell Gorey. She attended schools in Brushton.
She married her husband June 12, 1934, in North Bangor.
Mrs. Haywood worked at Potsdam State University College as a cook. She also worked for the Jefferson County Association for Retarded Children, retiring in 1978. She returned to Potsdam in 1981.
