- HELEN L. RIDGEWAY, ORWELL, DIES IN SYRACUSE

Helen L. Ridgeway, 80, County Route 2, died Thursday afternoon at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital, Syracuse.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Orwell Union Church, with the Rev. Janet Gibbs, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wesleyan Cemetery, Lacona.
There will be no calling hours. Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to the Northern Oswego County Ambulance, Pulaski.
Surviving are three sons, Frank M., Fulton, Phillip J., Brewerton, and Keith R., Pulaski; two daughters, Norma J. Narramore, Louden, Tenn., and Laura H. Ridgeway, Dallas, Texas; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Guiswite, Boca Raton, Fla., and Myron Guiswite, Leesburg, Fla.; two sisters, Mabel Gentile and Neva Kline, both of Dubois, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
A son, G. David Ridgeway, died in January 1991.
Born in Avis, Pa., March 4, 1912, a daughter of Franklin and Carrie A. Bustler Guiswite, she graduated from Avis High School and married Leon Ridgeway Oct. 17, 1935. Mr. Ridgeway died Jan. 26, 1984.
Mrs. Ridgeway had lived in Orwell for the past 30 years. She had previously lived in Sandy Creek.
She was a member and organist of the Orwell Union Church for the past 30 years. She was also a member and past president of the Gleaners Club in Orwell.
