      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, October 17, 1996 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Catherine Hilton, Nurses Aid Catherine E. Hilton, 74, Orwell, died Wednesday at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse. Mrs. Hilton was a nurse's aide for many years with Sandy Creek Central School and was previously employed for several years by the County Home in Mexico and the Oswego County Tuberculosis Sanitarium here. Born August 15, 1922, in Syracuse, daughter of Adolph and Elizabeth Shield Gustaveson, she lived in Minoa before moving to Orwell in 1947. She married Charles L. F. Hilton on July 20, 1947. The couple owned and operated a dairy farm for many years. Mr. Hilton died September 15, 1992. Mrs. Hilton was a member of the Orwell Union Church and Minoa Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are two sons, John W. and David G., both of Orwell; four daughters, Kathleen M. Hilton, Camden, Judy Welborn, Arlington, Texas, and Ella E. and Joan E. Hilton, both of West Monroe, four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the West Monroe Fire Department or Southern Oswego Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
