- VIRGIL L. HIPP SR.
Virgil L. Hipp Sr., 74, of Jones Creek, Texas, passed away Monday, July 7, 2003.
He was a resident of Jones Creek for 31 years.
Virgil was born August 19, 1929 in Winters, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea. Virgil was employed at American Oil Company for 16 years, then Dow Chemical Company for over 25 years. After retirement from Dow, he enjoyed spending his time gardening, fishing and helping his friends and neighbors.
Virgil is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, June Hipp; son, Virgil Hipp Jr. & wife, Penny, of Flatonia; daughter, Vicki O'Meara & husband, Richard, of Hockley; and brother, Shirrell Hipp of Austin.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one daughter.
His body was donated to Baylor College of Medicine.
