      E. William Bill Knauss of Quakertown and Fenwick Island, Delaware, died peacefully in his Quakertown home on March 18, 2004, following a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Knauss was the husband of Barbara K. (Kuryllo) Knauss. He was a fourth generation owner and CEO of Knauss Foods, Quakertown. Born in Quakertown, he was a son of Donald T. and Ruth W. (Willauer) Knauss of Quakertown. He attended Delaware Valley College and was a graduate of Quakertown Community High School. In 1965, he was named to the All Bux-Mont League football team. He was a Naval Air Reserve veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution. He was a past president and former member of the Quakertown Kiwanis Club and a coach for the Quakertown Midget Football Program and the Quakertown Little League Baseball. He was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Quakertown. Survivors: Wife; parents; son, D. Troy and wife Kimberly of Center Valley; daughter, Jill, wife of Dr. Joseph Rossi Jr. of Harleysville; four grandchildren, Alexa, Tyler, Joseph III and Drew; a sister, Susan, wife of Perry Minarik of Quakertown; nieces, other relatives and many friends. Services: 4:30 p.m. Sunday, C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, 821 W. Broad St., Quakertown. Call 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the family plot at Quakertown Union Cemetery. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, to the church, 560 S. Main St., Quakertown 18951.
