Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, April 5, 1978 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Dora L. Finster, 62, Dies - Mrs. Dora L. Finster, 62, of Orwell, wife of Robert L. Finster, died Wednesday evening, March 29, at her home. Born April 26, 1915 , at Benson Mines, a daughter of Hermas and Posy Beaudin Latremore, she attended Hull, Québec, schools and married Robert L. Finster March 25, 1936, at Sandy Pond. They had resided all their married life at Orwell. She was a member of the Orwell Union Church, the United Methodist Women and Dalket Class of the church. She is survived by her husband, Robert L.; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Rose Marie Graham, Orwell; six grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Latremore, Carthage; four sisters, Mrs. Delia Packwood, Hull, Québec, Mrs. Rose Monahan, Carthage, Mrs. Hilda Maxwell, of Sandy Pond, and Miss Beatrice Latremore, Syracuse, and a sister in law, Mrs. Margaret Latremore, Newton Falls. A son, Robert E. Finster, Richland, died January 11, 1971. The funeral was held Saturday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home with Rev. Ivan Greenfield, pastor Orwell Union Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell, later this spring.
