- Mrs. Eveline L. (Evie) Haynes, 65, widow of Melvin S. Haynes, and a resident of 220 S. Second St., died Saturday, Feb. 3, at Lee Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born in Glen Park, N.Y., she had resided in Fulton most of her life. She was retired and had formerly been employed at the Salem House and Beaver Meadows Country Club. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Joan) Ashby of Phoenix; two sons, Melvin T. Haynes of New Haven and Joseph T. Haynes of Fulton; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Davis of Seaside, Calif. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Young and Son Funeral Home, Rev. Richard Northrop officiating. Spring burial will be in Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.
