- Josephine M. Nicholson, age 79, resident of Pulaski, passed away Friday at her home. Josephine (Jo) had resided in Pulaski since 1969 and had previously lived in Richmond, VA. She was born May 7, 1934 in Pittsfield, MA. She graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1951. Jo married Hugh Nicholson on November 15, 1977. She was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in Pittsfield, MA. She was also employed by Pulaski High School and later Oswego County BOCES where she retired from in 1978. Jo was a member of several Pulaski Bowling Leagues.
Surviving her husband, Hugh; three sons, Jeffrey (Karen) Sottung of Pulaski, Steven (Donna) Sottung of West Grove, PA and Dwight Sottung (Lori Clark) of Pulaski; two daughters, Jeanette (Terry) Wilson and Nancy (Harlan) Stevenson both of Pulaski; three stepsons, Scot (Cindy) Nicholson, Dean (Toni) Nicholson and David (Jodi) Nicholson, all of Pulaski; two stepdaughters, Jody (Scott) Wickert, of Cicero and Luann (Tab) Holliday, of Georgia; two brothers, Charles A. Mancivalano of Pittsfield, MA and Michael Mancivalano of Houston, TX; 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday October 2, 2013, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
