Madge E. Ward, 83, Springbrook Apartments, Pulaski, formerly of County Route 22, Lacona, died Wednesday at Pontiac Nursing Home, Oswego.
Mrs. Ward and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm on Orwell-Lacona Road.
Born Jan. 15, 1917, in Newbridge, daughter of James W. and Mona Stocker McCrimman, she lived in Lacona for 62 years before moving to Pulaski.
She married Rupert G. Ward on June 7, 1936, at Star Lake. He died Dec. 9, 1977.
Mrs. Ward was a member of Sandy Creek-Orwell Senior Citizens Association.
Surviving are three daughters and their husbands, Lillian and Ronald Turner, Pulaski, Vivian and Edward Ferris, Fulton, and Viola and Richard Towne, Newton Falls; a son and his wife, Richard and Helen, Lacona; a sister, Rebecca Hutt, Rochester, 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Dorothy Emblidge, assistant pastor of Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski, officiating. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
