M. Alice Egan, 86, formerly of 833 E. Brighton Ave., Syracuse, a Brasher Falls native, died Tuesday at the Van Duyn Home, Syracuse.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Friday in St. James Church, Syracuse. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Syracuse.
Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Whelan Bros. Funeral Home, Syracuse.
Surviving are a son, Paul, Pulaski; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Born Jan. 15, 1909, in Brasher Falls, a daughter of William and Mary Dillon McCuin, she lived in Boston before moving to Syracuse in 1946.
Mrs. Egan lived in Elbridge from 1972 until returning to Syracuse in 1985.
She retired in 1972, after 20 years of service as a licensed practical nurse at the Van Duyn Home and Hospital. She had previously worked at the former Onondaga County Sanitarium.
Mrs. Egan was a communicant of St. James Church and a former communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Jordan, where she was a member of the Women's Guild.
