Notes - John was a talented stone mason and built the Pineville Methodist Church, on the north side of Route 13 between Pulaski and Altmar, it was built with a cobblestone foundation, stones hauled east from Lake Ontario shores near Pulaski. Completed in late 1850. It was dedicated in 1851 and was used for services until 1968 when when it merged with Riverside United Methodist Church in Altmar. A steeple once adorned the roof.
The structure was owned by Dottie and Dave Balcom as a craft store for many years.
John McEnirey (various spellings) also built a cobblestone house on Sheepskin Road across the River, and may have had a hand in the Altmar Methodist Church and village cemetery vault, this not proven.
John's GGG Grandson Jeff Edick of Pulaski (b.1966) is a talented stonemason who can set stone walls with precision.
