- Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 27, 1946 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - A solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated for Mrs. Hannah Carroll Stewart, widow of Edward Stewart, whose funeral was held at the home of her son, John L. Carroll, 47 East Fifth street, at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning and in St. Paul's Catholic church at 9:30. Rev. James M. Shanahan was celebrant of the mass, assisted by Rev. Thomas L. Murphy, deacon, and Rev. William J. Kiefer, sub-deacon. Intoning of the Benedictus followed the blessing. Bearers were Karl Knuth, Frank Schneible, Frank Kane, William Donahue, Edward Daly and Walter King. Burial was in St. Paul's cemetery where Father Murphy conducted committal service. Attending the funeral were Mrs. Mary Miller, Mrs. Hannah King, Schenectady; Matthew Delaney, New York City; Miss Kathleen Langan and Mrs. Marie Carrow, Detroit, Michigan; Peter Langan, Rochester; Mr. and Mrs. Francis Leighton, Buffalo, and Mrs. Nellie Dowley, Syracuse.
