- ANNA G. REDDEN
MANNSVILLE -- The funeral for Anna G. Redden, 94, Ridge Road, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville, with the Rev. Ruth Wendt, pastor of Mannsville United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Ellisburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Redden died Saturday morning in Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, where she was admitted Wednesday.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Redden and her husband, G. Harry, owned and operated dairy farms in the Ellisburg- Mannsville area from 1929 until retiring in 1975.
Born March 16, 1908, in the town of Hounsfield, daughter of Martin and Ethel Kelly Nadelen, Mrs. Reddengraduated from Sackets Harbor High School. After attending teacher's training class, she taught in the country schoolhouse on County Route 75 in the town of Hounsfield.
She married Mr. Redden on Aug. 11, 1928, at Adams Center. They were living at their farm on Ridge Road at the time of his death, April 5, 1983.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Anna Mae) Mohr, Palm Harbor, Fla.; a son, Jack H., Mannsville; three brothers, Theodore Nadelen and Ross Nadelen, both of Watertown, and Robert Nadelen, Brownville; nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
A son, Glenn R. Sr., died in 1990. Two sisters, Olga Davies and Bertha Woodard, and two brothers, Karl and Michael Nadelen, also died before her.
